Approach 580 SIA Developments - East Lancashire Road
The Approach 580 SIA to the North East of Liverpool City Centre, which includes the Aintree, Gillmoss and Kirkby areas, enjoys excellent communications links thanks to its position at the junction of the M57 and A580 East Lancashire Road.
The SIA is particularly strong in manufacturing, logistics, service and food sectors and major local employers include Vertex, Jacobs QVC, Trigon, Carcraft and TJ Morris.
It is hoped that new development sites in the area will attract investment and a range of jobs to the Approach 580 SIA area through the development of a range of new development sites. These will compliment existing well established business locations like Aintree Industrial Estate, Axis Business Park, Knowsley Industrial Park and Knowsley Business Park.
As part of this process infrastructure work has begun on the new Stonebridge Park scheme, a 29 hectare `green` business development fronting the A580 in Gillmoss. Up to 1,535 jobs will be created within 33,400 sq m of new office and light industrial space, set in a parks-style business environment. This will include extensive tree planting and water features based around the River Alt and its Sugarbrook tributary which run through the site. A linear park will also be created along the 1.5 km A580 frontage.
The park will benefit from a range of environmental works to provide the scheme with a suitable wetland drainage system, flood storage and en ecological habitat which could support a population of watervoles and red squirrels.
The 29 hectare business park will provide up to 360,000 sq ft of serviced development plots from 13,000 to 65,000 sq ft.
Situated on the A580 East Lancashire Road 5 minutes from the junction of the M57, 15 minutes from Liverpool City Centre, 20 minutes from Liverpool Jophn Lennon Airport, and 40 minutes from Manchester International Airport.
